I love concerts. I have a bit of an obsession with being in the dreaded pit and singing and dancing with sweaty strangers rubbing up against me, stepping on me, and blocking my view. Being at a concert surrounded by people who all share an interest for the artist is pretty fun. Doing it with some of your best friends for 3 days in a row right before finals start just makes it all the better! Unlike Osheaga 2012, where we had to spend the day on the concert grounds and take the metro home, we camped out at Wayhome. We went through a lot of water, and a lot of sunscreen.
As the sun disappeared behind us, we sat on the grassy hill watching Neil Young perform Cowgirl in The Sand and I realized that in that moment, I had absolutely no worries and no responsibilities. Until Monday morning when I had a final test. Wayhome 2015 was probably one of the most fun weekends I've had all year because of that. Making friends with strangers, getting free stuff, dehydration and live music. It's what music festivals are all about.
