Mmm warm spiced oatmeal on a chilly morning. All cozy and stuff. Although it seems spring may (finally) be upon us, it seems that a lot of people are feeling under the weather. Everyone knows that THE meal when you're sick is some soup. But what about breakfast? I'm not into soup for breakfast. I know some people are, but I'm not.
I made this sometimes before going to the gym when it was especially cold out or I was especially sore. During the term I got up and out before the cafeteria was open so I needed something. What's so great about this oatmeal?
-The antioxidants in the goji and blueberries and raspberries
-The energy and protein you get from the chia pudding, maca powder, and pumpkin seed butter, and hemp hearts
-The anti inflammatory properties from the turmeric and cinnamon powder
So whether you wake up feeling sick or sore, this is a bowl full of good stuff to help your body heal.

CHIA PUDDING
-In a jar or bowl, add the chia seeds and 2 Tb of almond milk
-Stir every so often to avoid clumping
-leave over night or wait 5-10 minutes
OATS
-Empty the packet of oats into a bowl
-Mix in the turmeric, cinnamon, and goji berries*
-Mix in boiling water until it reaches your desired consistency. You can always add almond milk to it later if it's too thick.
-Add the chia pudding on top along with the rest of the toppings and enjoy!
*I mix the goji berries in before the water because I like when they soak up the water but it's up to you
